Focus and Scope

Al-‘Allāmah: Journal of Scriptures and Ulama Studies is a scholarly journal managed by the Ulama Cadre Education Program of the Great Mosque of Istiqlal (PKUMI). This journal serves as an academic platform for studies focusing on Ulama and Women Ulama Studies as well as broader areas of Islamic scholarship.

The scope of the journal encompasses various disciplines within Islamic Studies, including but not limited to:
Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Theology, Philosophy, Law, Islamic Economics, History, Islamic Education, and Islamic Thought.

Al-‘Allāmah encourages interdisciplinary approaches that explore the intellectual heritage, contextual interpretations, and contemporary relevance of the Islamic tradition. Articles that highlight the role of ulama in promoting religious moderation, interfaith dialogue, and social transformation are especially welcomed.
