This edition presents a comprehensive exploration of Islamic thought, ranging from the application of Sharia in the modern nation-state according to Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, to the ethical and missionary dimensions of Sufi traditions in the Indonesian archipelago. It also features a comparative study of esoteric exegesis between Ahlussunnah and Shiah, a critical distinction between the paradigms of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah and Maqāṣid al-Qur'an, and an overview of the development of theoretical tafsir studies in Saudi Arabia. The edition concludes with an analysis of KH. Sholeh Darat’s Tafsir Faidh al-Raḥmān, highlighting its methodology, stylistic features, and localization within the Indonesian context. Altogether, these articles offer a rich, multidisciplinary contribution to the ongoing discourse in Islamic studies.
